Suleyman Ali "Sulley" Muntari (born 27 August 1984) is a Ghanaian former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder.

During his time with Internazionale, he helped the team win the Champions League in 2009–10 and the Serie A title in 2008–09 and 2009–10. He was also part of the Portsmouth team that won the FA Cup in 2007–08. After becoming a full international in 2002, Muntari earned over 80 caps for the Ghanaian national team and was selected for two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and three FIFA World Cups.


He is the elder brother of Tambov player Sulley Muniru. In December 2010, Muntari married Ghanaian businesswoman Menaye Donkor.   His net worth is estimated at roughly $22 Million dollars, making him one of the top 10 richest footballers in Africa.


20 June 2015 it was reported Muntari's wife had delivered a baby and the husband was so excited about it. His younger brother is Sulley Muniru, who plays in the Russian Liga I.


On 16 September 2020, Menaye Donkor confirmed the arrival of their second baby, in an interview on GhOne TV.



This former Player called Sulley Muntari mother is reportedly dead on Sunday,May 30, 2021.  According to the report from a media platform in Ghana, Hajia Kande, who was muntaris mother, had been ill for a short period before she passed away. Because of what has happened to Muntari and his family, they are yet to speak on the passing of his mother, but there have been a number of prominent people in the football fraternity sending their condolences to him on his Twitter page and other media platforms.
